Roommate is a children’s design company based in Denmark.

Our focus point is to create positive and stimulating settings for creative children’s play. The Roommate universe is filled with beautiful colour harmonies and happy stories. Our designs are lovely little roomies ready to move in.

Roommate stands for playful design, high quality, sustainability, and social responsibility. Designs kind to the planet and fun for kids.

Roommate was founded by two Danish designers and mothers – Christine Schwarzer and Anne Birgitte Balle. The designers have a great passion for play, colours, and the magical and fantastic universe of children.

 

OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:

Roommate’s goal is to manufacture designs for children with basic respect for people, the environment and society. Roommate values accountability at all levels and we are in dialogue with all suppliers regarding environmental and ethical requirement in the productions.

We must inform, educate, and motivate all people working with Roommate’s designs to perform their work in a way that is environmentally sound. Responsibility for the environment should be a natural part of daily business. Environmental legislation and regulations should provide a minimum level of environmental work, and we aim to surpass the requirements.
